Artist Biography

I am a Winnipeg-based mixed media artist and photographer.   In  2002,  after travelling in Guatemala, with a one year faith-based college program I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts honours degree at the University of Manitoba.  There I majored in painting and then went on to complete a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba.  I specialized in art education.  I regularly seek out art courses through various venues that have included Red River College, Prairie-view school of Photography in Winnipeg and also Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, England. 
 

I create art in a variety of mediums that include fibre arts, painting, ceramics, ink drawings, photography, and installation art with a strong focus on watercolour paintings.  Travelling, world events, and personal experiences all influence the art that I make. I love visual story-telling.
 

Currently I create art for sale and publications, and teach high school art.  My passions lie in being creative, living my faith, and spending time with my kids.
